MDC STRENGTHENS HEALTH AND WELLNESS SERVICES
By Adnews Staff
MDC Corp. of Toronto has expanded its health and wellness activities. The company has bought a majority interest in Integrated Healthcare Communications of Toronto, which organizes and facilitates medical conferences and continuing health education programs. It will be part of MDC's Communications and Marketing Services Division and is the third company in the division to specialize in health and wellness. The other two are: LBJ FRB Communications and Veritas Communications, both of Toronto. LBJ FRB creates wellness ads and social marketing programs. Veritas specializes in public and government relations for healthcare clients. "With this acquisition, we now have the depth and expertise to manage the delivery of wellness communications messages to every important stakeholder group," MDC Communications and Marketing Services president Michel Frappier says in a release. For IHC, the deal allows the agency to offer an increased number of services and provides a one-stop-shopping service for its clients.
