METROPOLITAN HOTEL FINALIZES AGENCY
By Adnews Staff
The Metropolitan Hotel of Toronto has decided to hire a full-time PR agency to promote its Lai Wah Heen Hong Kong-style restaurant. The company gave the business earlier this month to Focus Communications of Markham, Ont. without a review. The agency has been working on a project basis for the hotel since 1994 and for Lai Wah Heen since its opening in 1995. The Metropolitan Hotel decided to hire Focus on a full-time basis because it wants to begin promoting the image of the restaurant as well as its events. Until now, PR focused only on the restaurant's events. Advertising for Lai Wah Heen is created by Ken Koo Creative Group's Toronto office. The next ad campaign will be launched in time for the Chinese New Year, which occurs at the end of the month. The campaign will promote new recipes at the restaurant using Chinese newspaper, magazine, TV and radio ads.
