COGECO GOES WITH BIGGER AGENCY

Cogeco Cable Quebec of Montreal will introduce four new French TV stations in a campaign to be launched in September. The campaign will use print, radio and TV created by FCB Direct of Montreal. The agency will also create brochures for Cogeco's Internet access service to be distributed to residential and business customers. FCB was given the Cogeco account earlier this summer after a competition with incumbent Sprint Communications and Epex Marketing, both of Montreal. Cogeco held a review because it needed a bigger agency to deal with its many projects currently being developed, company spokesperson Marie-Andree Deschenes told Adnews yesterday. Cogeco will launch four new specialty channels in September and a pay-per-view channel in November called Indigo. It also plans to introduce an Internet access service.
