FERRERO COULD BE LOOKING FOR AGENCY

The fate of the Ferrero Canada account is up in the air since the company recently parted ways with its agency of one year, Roche, Macaulay & Partners Advertising of Toronto. The Toronto-based company's previous agency was Lowe/SMS of Toronto until it merged with Roche last year. Ferrero and Roche decided to work together for a trial period and then reassess the compatability of the companies. "We've worked together now for nine months and it has been productive for both of us. But it has become clear that our cultures aren't as compatible as we had hoped and that it would be best for both of us to end the relationship at this time," agency strategic planning director and vice-president Andrew Macaulay says in a release. Ferrero officials were unavailable to comment on how they will now handle advertising. The company makes such products as Tic Tac breath mints, as well as Kinder Surprise, Ferrero Rocher and Mon Cheri chocolates.
