VOLVO MAY BE SEEKING GLOBAL AGENCY

Swedish car manufacturer Volvo may be reviewing its roster of agencies to hire one for a new piece of business called the Volvo global image account. The goal of the move is to develop more consistent campaigns when launching new cars and to create more cohesive global campaigns. Currently, Volvo uses 104 agencies in 86 countries, as well as others for projects. In Canada, Volvo uses U.S. creative done by Messner Vetere Berger McNamee of New York, while Media Buying Services of Toronto does media buying. - 05-01-97
