GAP BRINGS PERFUME SAMPLING TO THE 'NET
By Adnews Staff
The Gap in the U.S. is trying to get computer users to smell their fragrances over the Internet. The company introduced banners on the Digital City on-line network to promote its GapScents line of perfumes. By clicking on the fragrance icons users activate an audio file that creates a sound that captures the essence of each fragrance. Each icon also links users to a content page devoted to the corresponding scent. GapScents are Dream, Earth, Heaven, Grass, Day and OM.
