Study: Free, ad-supported streaming services

Paramount has released the results of an international study of consumer usage of free, ad-supported video streaming services. The study encompassed approximately 5,000 consumers between the ages of 18 and 64 in Brazil, Canada, Germany, Mexico, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
According to the study, 78% of Canadian consumers described these services as a simple way to discover content, while 71% said they like the way in which such services remove the need to think about what to watch and 74% described them as providing a break or reward. In addition, 72% agreed with the statement that ads are part of the overall viewing experience.
