Tourism HR begins promotion

Tourism HR Canada, an Ottawa-based organization specializing in human resources for the tourism industry, has begun a national promotion called “Discover Tourism.” The initiative is intended to attract new workers to the tourism sector in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. It takes the form of an updated brand and a new website at <http://www.discovertourism.ca> that provides tourism career information. The promotion makes use of the tagline, “Tourism can take you there,” while the content highlights the range of people and careers in the industry. The effort also includes materials that tourism companies can incorporate into their marketing and communications, including links to job profile videos. The promotion was developed by UpHouse of Winnipeg, with web development by Office Bureau.

“The updated Discover Tourism brand and the new resources we've built are essential tools to help the tourism sector recover,” said Philip Mondor, president and CEO of Tourism HR Canada. “It invites workers and businesses across the country to make the journey in tourism with us. Tourism is a big and ever-changing industry in Canada. We want to make sure we're connecting visitors with the best experiences possible, and that comes through the incredible people in, and joining, the industry.”
