Winnipeg-based advertising agency UpHouse has purchased Dooley PR. According to the firm, the acquisition makes UpHouse one of the largest marketing communication companies in Manitoba. The acquisition will close on Dec. 1. Dooley PR, founded in 2007, provides communications and public relations services to clients that have included the Western Retail Lumber Association, Dynacare, the Manitoba Hotel Association, Paragon Design Build and Manitoba Egg Farmers. UpHouse clients include Johnston Group, Travel Manitoba, Efficiency Manitoba, Technation, BDC, Tourism HR Canada and Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce.
“Our company was built to help in-house marketing teams elevate their brands,” said Alex Varricchio, co-owner of UpHouse. “We know there’s a strong demand from the companies we work with to add PR to their marketing mix. With the addition of the Dooley PR team, we’re gaining one of the most experienced and respected PR agencies in the prairies.”
