Tim Hortons releases new TV ad

Tim Hortons has released a new television commercial featuring hockey player Sidney Crosby and former junior hockey player Eric Neilson. The ad recalls a morning in 2005 when Crosby and Neilsen were playing for the Rimouski Oceanics in a playoff game. They saw a group of fans waiting to buy tickets in the cold, some of whom had been in line for 18 hours. The two players went to a nearby Tim Hortons and bought coffee and baked goods for everyone in the line. The commercial reunites the players with some of the fans who were in the line that day. The commercial is being supported with social media activities on Facebook and Instagram.

“Whether it's the ritual of grabbing coffees and hot chocolates for an early morning at the rink, or sharing donuts and Timbits after a game, so many Canadian hockey memories are made with Tims,” said Hope Bagozzi, chief marketing officer at Tim Hortons. “We're looking forward to having Canadians share their ‘Tims Hockey Memories’ with us and learning how Tims has played a role in celebrating both their big and little wins on and off the ice.”
