Government of Canada, Uber conduct vaccination promotion

The Government of Canada has begun a promotion in collaboration with ride-sharing company Uber Canada intended to increase COVID-19 vaccine confidence nationally. During the promotion, Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada will use the Uber mobile app as well as participating drivers to distribute information about the safety and effectiveness of authorized COVID-19 vaccines and the importance of ongoing public health measures. Information about vaccines will be displayed in English and French on the Uber and Uber Eats home screens, as well as with banners during trips and food deliveries and email newsletters.

“To support the COVID-19 recovery effort, we want to inform Canadians that the best vaccine is the first vaccine made available to them,” said Matthew Price, general manager of Uber Canada. “Through our partnership with the Government of Canada, we can do our part to accelerate vaccination efforts by using Uber’s platform to instill confidence with timely and credible information.”
