Maple Leaf Foods conducts Earth Day promotion

Maple Leaf Foods of Mississauga has begun a promotion to coincide with Earth Day on April 22. The promotion features “Picture a Better World Climate Change Colouring Kits” that are intended to illustrate the impact that climate change could have on Canada. The kits consist of a colouring book and a range of crayons with damaged climate-themed names such as “Ocean Green,” “Sky Orange,” “Grass Yellow,” “Forest Black,” “Sand Blue” and “Freshwater Brown.” Consumers can order the free kits online at <http://www.mapleleafcrayons.ca> beginning April 22. A downloadable version will be available at <https://www.mapleleaf.ca/carbonneutral>.

“Climate change is happening now, making it essential that education and climate action also happens right now,” said Tim Faveri, vice-president of sustainability at Maple Leaf Foods. “Maple Leaf is committed to doing our part to create a healthy planet for future generations and we are proud to share this commitment with Canadians in a way that brings families and communities together.”
