New president at Astound Group

The Toronto-based Astound Group has appointed Tom Wright to the position of executive chairman and president. He will manage the day-to-day operations of the company, which specializes in the development of digital presentations, exhibit installations, branding, retail design and events. Wright was most recently director of operations at the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was also executive-vice president and general manager of UFC Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Prior to that, Wright was a managing director of Level5 Strategy. Wright was also was commissioner of the Canadian Football League, president and CEO of Salomon North America and president of Adidas Canada. Wright has also been chairman of Astound’s advisory board for the past three years.
