Heinz releases social media condiments

Kraft Heinz Canada has begun a promotion during which it will sell limited-edition Heinz condiments based on old social media posts. Heinz has released three new sauces “inspired” by three specific Canadian social media posts from over the past 10 years. These include Tarchup, a mix of tartar sauce and ketchup, Wasabioli, a combination of wasabi and garlic aioli, and Hanch, a mixture of hot sauce and ranch dressing. According to the company, Heinz worked with the original posters to releases their sauces in Canada. The products will be sold at participating grocery stores nationally for a limited time, supported by social media activities and a website at <http://www.heinzcrowdsauced.ca>.

“We've seen incredible success with innovations such as Mayochup and Mayoracha,” said Daniel Gotlib, associate director of brand building and innovation at Kraft Heinz Canada. “There’s a lot of appetite for Heinz mashups as consumers continue to explore bolder and more unique flavour pairings. Surprisingly, there is a lot of social conversation about condiment mashups and we saw an opportunity to work with our fans in creating mashups that are inspired by them.”
