The Globe and Mail of Toronto has launched a new online education property aimed at financial professionals. Using training technology from Learnedly of Toronto, the Globe Advisor Continuing Education Centre will offer users and Learnedly subscribers professional financial courses accredited for continuing education. According to the company, the information can be used for personal knowledge or to satisfy industry requirements. Ten initial courses have received accreditation from FP Canada and the Alberta Insurance Council. The publisher intends to add more in the future. The centre is located at <http://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/globe-advisor/cecentre>.
“With over 100,000 financial professionals across the country, packaging Globe and Mail journalism into content that can be easily consumed and practically applied is a unique approach that makes sense to us,” says Garth Thomas, Managing Director, Business and Financial Products at The Globe and Mail. “The financial services world is constantly changing, and it’s our goal to help advisors stay informed.”
