DOMINO'S DOWN TO FOUR

Four agencies are battling it out for the creative portion of the U.S.-based Domino's Pizza $75 million(US) account. McCann-Erickson Worldwide of New York made the cut, as well as Campbell Mithun Esty and Fallon McElligott, both of Minneapolis and Temerlin McClain of Dallas. McCann will compete with J. Walter Thompson's Chicago and Detroit offices for the media buying portion of the business. The incumbent for the entire account is Grey Advertising of New York. In Canada, Domino's is being bought by Comac Food Group of Calgary. The chain is currently owned by the Gelmon family of Calgary. In an earlier interview, Comac president and CEO Don Schafer told Adnews that the company has no immediate plans to change the way Domino's does its advertising. Currently, it is created in-house.
