Walmart, Bell Media begin Supermarket Sweep promotion

Walmart Canada has begun a promotion in collaboration with Bell Media Studios called “Supermarket Sweep: Canadian Edition.” It will consist of three segments that will run during entertainment news program ETalk beginning Oct. 15. During each segment, four participants will compete in two supermarket-based challenges. The winners from each segmet will compete in a final segment that will airing during the series premiere of Supermarket Sweep, a new game show that will debut on CTV on Oct. 18. The winner will receive $2,500 in Walmart Canada gift cards, while an additional $2,500 will be donated to a charity of the winner’s choice. The promotion is being conducted in association with Mindshare and will be supported with social media activities.
“This customized collaboration demonstrates the exceptional content that CTV and Bell Media Studios can create to amplify international brands, while giving viewers a unique complementary viewing experience,” said Justin Stockman, vice-president of brand partnerships and client strategy at Bell Media.
