Audible, Scotiabank offer free Giller Prize audiobooks

Scotiabank has begun a promotion called “Alone Together” in collaboration with online audiobook store Audible.ca. The effort will offer Canadian consumers free access to ten audiobooks that have won the Scotiabank Giller Prize. The books will be available for download from the service until June 28 and include works by Margaret Atwood, Mordecai Richler, Rohinton Mistry, Alice Munro, Joseph Boyden, Johanna Skibsrud, Will Ferguson, Lynn Coady, Sean Michaels and André Alexis.
“With increased time at home, we know that many Canadians are looking for ways to be informed, inspired and entertained,” said Georgia Knox, Canada country manager for Audible. “That was our motivation to provide this access to Scotiabank Giller Prize-winning content. On Audible.ca we want to celebrate the creativity of the Canadian authors who spark joy and intrigue amongst all of us with their writing.”
