Trader Corporation debuts Remote Selling Suite

Toronto-based Trader Corporation has introduced a new service called the “Remote Selling Suite” intended to allow Canadian automotive dealers to interact with consumers online during the COVID-19 pandemic. The service enables dealers to perform sales operations online via the AutoTrader.ca website by recreating the experience of visiting a dealership. It offers a real-time chat function and live video footage of the interior and exterior of various vehicles. Consumers can place a deposit on a vehicle to reserve it until pick up or delivery can be arranged. The service also includes a dedicated area in which dealers can update consumers on the public health status of their physical locations.

“Dealerships across the country are encountering a need to shift elements of their operations online,” said Jill Hadfield, chief product officer at Trader. “We are dedicated to helping our partners successfully navigate this transition with access to best in class remote sales tools that will help dealers bridge the gap and create meaningful connections.”
