Canada Goose begins producing medical scrubs

Toronto-based outerwear company Canada Goose has begun a new initiative intended to counter the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. According to the company, dedicated groups of staff in Toronto and Winnipeg will produce medical scrubs and patient gowns as part of the Canada Goose Response Program. The apparel will begin being distributed for free to Canadian hospitals nationally next week. The program aims to produce 10,000 units at first, with plans to expand the program to additional manufacturing facilities if needed.

“Across Canada, there are people risking their lives every day on the frontlines of COVID-19 in healthcare facilities, and they need help,” said Dani Reiss, president and CEO of Canada Goose. “Now is the time to put our manufacturing resources and capabilities to work for the greater good. Our employees are ready, willing and able to help, and that's what we're doing. It's the Canadian thing to do.”
