Starling Minds launches coronavirus stress management program

Vancouver-based mental health care company Starling Minds has launched a free digital program intended to counter stress and anxiety caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the company, the program uses cognitive behaviour therapy techniques to help users understand how uncertainty and disruption can increase stress and anxiety, as well ways to manage these emotions. The program is located at <https://info.starlingminds.com/covid19-free-mental-health>.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has introduced tremendous uncertainty, change, and adversity into the lives of millions of people worldwide,” said Andrew Miki, chief science officer at Starling Minds. “This increases the stress, worry, and anxiety felt from family health, finances, and work/home conditions. This free, confidential program can help anyone with a smartphone or computer manage their COVID-19 related anxiety and stress.”
