Toys R Us re-signs chief play officer

Toy retail chain Toys R Us Canada has re-signed Méganne Dagenais to the position of chief play officer. The Montreal-based 12-year-old won the position in a contest promotion a year ago. Dagenais will continue to act as a spokesperson for the brand and will participate in the testing and promotion of new toys. Her first assignment in 2020 will be a national tour promoting popular toys for the spring season.
“I can’t believe it’s already been a year,” said Dagenais. “I’ve absolutely had a blast. I can’t wait to explore all of the new toys for 2020, and to share my favourites with Canadians. I love travelling to new places and meeting so many wonderful people. The toys are cool, but promoting play is what I’m most proud of. I see the smile it brings on people’s faces and it’s amazing.”
