Canada Goose conducts polar bear promotion
By Adnews Staff
Outdoor apparel company Canada Goose has begun a promotion called “Be@rBrick” to coincide with International Polar Bear Day. The initiative is intended to raise awareness of the decline in sea ice due to climate change, which represents a risk to the survival of polar bears. The promotion is being conducted in collaboration with Medicom Toy, which has produced a limited-edition collectible figure of a polar bear that is mirrored over half its surface. According to the company, the figure is intended to allow consumers to see themselves in the issue. Part of the proceeds from sales of the figures will be donated to conservation organization Polar Bears International. The figure is part of a larger overall polar bear campaign which began earlier this month. The campaign uses the tagline, “What Affects Them, Affects Us All." The effort includes the release of a documentary called Bare Existence, produced in association with Stept Studios.
