Production company William F. White International is preparing to expand its operations by opening a second studio facility in Mississauga. The location, called Whites Studios Cantay, will consist of 181,000 square feet of space divided into four sound stages. It will open in early 2021. The company opened its first studio in the city, called Whites Studios Edwards Blvd., in January. It consists of 150,000 square feet of space split into four stages.
“Whites Studios is continuing its Canada-wide expansion to support increasing production needs,” said Paul Bronfman, CEO of William F. White International. “There is a severe shortage of studio space in Toronto in particular. Our primary Toronto location is already booked solid and our clients require additional stages. To that end, we're doing our part to reinforce the incremental business Toronto is gaining from both Canadian and American producers.”
