The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport has undertaken a rebranding initiative. The organization has changed its name to Canadian Women & Sport. The new identity is intended to better reflect the association’s work to achieve gender equity for girls and women in sports. The rebranding also includes the development of a new logo representing “the poser of collaboration and connection.” The group has launched its new brand with an online video. The assignment was conducted by Republic.
“Since 1981, CAAWS has been a crucial partner in establishing and advancing a sport environment where girls and women excel, not only in competition, but also as strong leaders in their communities,” said Allison Sandmeyer-Graves, CEO of Canadian Women & Sport. “As Canadian Women & Sport, our simple yet impactful new identity reinvigorates our platform as experts on gender equity and sport in the country. We are champions for girls and women in every arena and we are committed to building a better Canadian sport system, from the field of play to the boardroom.”
