Staples Canada begins worst office chair contest

Office supply retail chain Staples Canada has resumed an annual promotion called “Up My Chair Game.” The national campaign takes the form of a search for the worst office chair in Canada. Until June 4, consumers can enter by submitting photographs of their chairs via Twitter or Instagram. The winner will receive a $1,000 gift card to put toward the purchase of a new chair and desk. The campaign also includes public relations, social media content and influencer activities executed by Golin.

“We’re excited about our big chair and desk event this year and social media contest as a way Staples Canada is helping Canadians upgrade their office space to better work, learn and grow,” said John DeFranco, chief commercial officer at Staples Canada. “Staples Canada carries an incredible range of office chairs and desks, and we are thrilled to be able to offer Canadians amazing savings during this event to help them upgrade their office space.”
