Staples begins Special Olympics campaign

Office supply retail chain Staples has resumed an annual initiative called “Give a Toonie. Share a Dream.” The national effort is intended to raise funds for Special Olympics Canada. From April 27 until May 27, consumers can donate to the organization in-store or online at <http://www.staples.ca/shareadream>. The campaign this year features an eight-year-old athlete named Levi.

“Supporting community is at the heart of the company and we are proud to host another fundraiser in support of Special Olympics Canada in our stores,” said David Boone, chief executive officer of Staples Canada. “The work that Special Olympics is doing in collaboration with its local chapters transforms lives, not only by providing the health benefits of sport, but also by teaching life skills, values, discipline, socialization and inclusion.”
