Kia to sponsor Special Olympics Canada
Mississauga-based automaker Kia Canada has signed a sponsorship agreement with Special Olympics Canada. During the multi-year agreement, Kia will be the official national automotive sponsor of the organization. The company will provide financial support as well as vehicles. In addition, Kia employees will receive time to volunteer at various Special Olympics activities.
"Kia is proud to pledge our support to the organization that does so much to ensure that Canadians with intellectual disabilities are able to feel part of a community, improve their health and fitness, build their self-esteem and to develop other life skills," said Ted Lancaster, chief operating officer of Kia Canada. "Led by myself, Kia will take a hands-on role in helping to raise much-needed funds and awareness for Special Olympics, as well as helping to spread their message of acceptance and inclusion."
