Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council begins campaign

The Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council has begun an awareness campaign called “OMVIC Academy.” Developed by Tag of Toronto, the campaign is intended to educate consumers about the process of buying a new or used vehicle. The initiative consists of a series of online videos providing advice on what to look for and what questions to ask when visiting an auto dealership. The campaign also includes social media content and web-based materials.

“OMVIC provided us with extensive knowledge that we could arm buyers with so they feel confident when buying a car, new or used,” said Ian Schwey, executive creative director at Tag. “With so much information to communicate, we decided to create The OMVIC Academy, a series of fun 80s sitcom-style online videos featuring a professor and students, which allowed us to educate consumers on all that they need to know, but in an entertaining and digestible manner.”
