CAMPAIGN TRIES TO INCLUDE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

The Canadian Association for Community Living is telling Canadians that people with intellectual disabilities are valuable members of our communities. The organization launched a national outdoor campaign this week featuring Jenna Martinuzzi, a seven-year-old student with an intellectual disability who attends an integrated grade 2 class in Toronto. The headline on the ad says, "Her disability shouldn't exclude her." The goal of the ad is to tell people that individuals with intellectual disabilities should be given the opportunity to lead inclusive lives, participating in all aspects of community activities. The ad was created pro bono by Gould Outdoor Advertising of Toronto and The Outdoor Partnership. Ad space was also donated by both organizations.
