York University debuts new public relations program

The School of Continuing Studies at York University of Toronto has introduced a new program offering a post-graduate certificate in public relations. According to the school, the eight-month full-time program is aimed primarily at recent degree graduate and international students. Students will receive training in new and traditional media in classes and by working on projects with participating companies. Classes will begin in September.
"The York University Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Relations uniquely provides students with theoretical foundations for success in communications, reputation and corporate affairs, combined with practical knowledge, real-world insights and best practices," said John Crean, member of the program advisory council at the York University School of Continuing Studies. "Graduates will have the right blend of skills required to excel as a public relations professional in an evolving industry."
