CRTC approves TVA, Serdy deal

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission has approved the application by TVA Group to acquire specialty television channels Évasion and Zeste from Serdy Media. TVA plans to close the transaction within the next few weeks. According to the company, the new channels will diversify its programming and increase its audience. TVA also operates the channels LCN, TVA Sports, addikTV, Casa, Moi et Cie, Prise 2 and Yoopa. Évasion specializes in travel, tourism, adventure and food programs, while Zeste specializes in cooking and entertaining programming.
