Toys R Us conducts cancer awareness promotion

Toy retailer Toys R Us Canada recently conducted a promotion in downtown Toronto in support of Childhood Cancer Canada. The fundraising promotion took the form of a Scrabble competition between teams from eight professional services firms on a board measuring 40 feet by 35 feet. This was the final phase of a year-long overall campaign intended to raise awareness of the charity and its work. It was conducted in association with the organization Bay Street Fore a Cause.
"There's nothing more gratifying than harnessing the energy of a team of people to support others who are experiencing challenges in their lives," said Melanie Teed-Murch, president of Toys R Us Canada. "Play is at the heart of who we are and we're happy to remind professionals on Bay Street how to play."
