Mobeewave retains Zenergy Communications

Montreal-based financial technology company Mobeewave has hired Zenergy Communications of Toronto has its marketing and communications agency of record. The agency will work to promote Mobeewave's smartphone-based mobile payment system. The service is particularly intended for small, in-person transactions such as at festivals, food trucks, garage sales or classified ad sales.
"To date, our growth strategy has largely been focused on developing strategic partnerships with banks, telecoms and other companies, rather than on brand awareness," said Vincent Alimi, chief growth officer at Mobeewave. "As we continue to experience international growth, we are seeking to build our brand awareness amongst consumers.
