Round launches in Toronto

A new advertising agency called Round has opened in Toronto. The firm is headed by creative director Paul Riss and managing director Mike Davidson. Riss previously operated a company called PRBY Creative. Prior to that, he was creative director of Cundari and an associate creative director at DDB Canada. Davidson previously operated a firm called Davidson Consulting Group. Prior to that, he was a senior vice-president at DDB and vice-president of marketing at Arnold Worldwide.
"The fact is, a lot of the top talent in North America are not working for traditional agencies these days," said Davidson. "We're tapping into that larger talent pool. We're not restricted by just the resources available in our office. Our model is project based, flexible and collaborative. We work with fixed deliverables and timelines, at an agreed price. We've done away with most of the overhead that make traditional agencies overly reliant on the same static resources. We have access to the best talent across North America, giving us much deeper bench strength then traditional agencies, and at a fraction of the cost."
