Mylo releases Round Up To Give app

Montreal-based Mylo Financial Technologies has launched a new mobile application called "Round Up To Give" in collaboration with CanadaHelps.org. The applications allows consumers to round-up their credit or debit card payments to the nearest dollar, with the excess being automatically donated to a participating charity. Approximately 86,000 Canadian charitable organizations can be accessed through the system. The system is intended to provide charities with a new way to reach younger, technology-focused donors.

"Mylo was founded on a social mission of helping Canadians achieve their financial goals," said Philip Barrar, CEO of Mylo. "For many Canadians, giving back to a cause they care about is important. Fewer Canadians are making annual charitable donations, and millennials feel their paycheque is a barrier to giving. We want to help them make change with spare change. With Round Up to Give, more Canadians will be able to afford to make donations on a recurring basis in an easy and automated way."
