Angus Reid Forum launches in Vancouver

A new polling company has been founded in Vancouver by Angus Reid. Reid has acquired the Your Insights Panel from polling company Insights West and rebranded it as the Angus Reid Forum. It will operate as a national representative opinion panel. Reid will be chairman of the board of the new entity, while Insights West founder Steve Mossop will be president and CEO.
"At a time when there is so much concern over privacy and the inappropriate use of big data, the Angus Reid Forum will set a new standard for transparency, giving its members unprecedented control over the content they share," said Reid.
Reid was the founder of the Angus Reid Group and its CEO from 1979 to 2001. The company was sold to Ipsos in 2000. Most recently, he was the CEO of software company Vision Critical.
