Chatime hires Co-op

Tea company Chatime has retained Co-op of Toronto as its Ontario communications agency of record. The assignment includes advertising, content production and public relations intended to raise awareness of the companies line of Taiwanese-style specialty teas. Multicultural campaign elements will continue to be handled by Sensu Communications.

Co-op recently developed a holiday-themed campaign for Chatime as well as a winter campaign which is still in progress. Called "Paint the Town Red with Ruby Black Tea," the effort consists of in-store, digital and social media elements.

"Over the past few years, we've experienced tremendous growth and success in expanding our operations," said Vincent Lau, CEO of Chatime Ontario. "The time is right for us to streamline our communications and further solidify our presence and leadership in this market. With Co-op, we've found an agency partner who complements our style and understands our desire to revolutionize the tea category. They are just as motivated as we are to push the boundaries of innovation."
