Gay Lea Foods begins Bake Happy Together promotion

Gay Lea Foods, a co-operative organization of approximately 1,400 Ontario dairy farms, has begun a promotion in the Greater Toronto Area intended to support grocery store workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The promotion, called “Bake Happy Together,” makes use of a branded delivery truck that will visit a number of grocery stores to distribute kits of baking supplies and baking-themed puzzles to employees.
“Delivering quality dairy and food products and encouraging Canadians to ‘Bake Happy Together’ are part of our DNA,” said Michael Barrett, president and CEO of Gay Lea Foods. “Bringing joy to people in our communities is one of the ways in which we can say thanks while helping people get through these challenging times. Baking is not only fun and delicious but also very therapeutic. We believe in the joy of baking and are excited about surprising communities with something fun to do while staying home.”
