McKesson Canada acquires Well.ca

Toronto-based medical product distribution company McKesson Canada has acquired Well.ca, an electronic commerce company based in Guelph, ON that specializes in health, wellness, infant and beauty products. These online capabilities will be applied to McKesson's retail operations, including the Rexall Drug Store chain. According to the company, this will allow it to better service its customers. Well.ca will operate as a distinct unit within McKesson Canada, retaining its existing brand.
"Today's customer wants a digital experience," said Domenic Pilla, CEO of McKesson Canada. "Combined with McKesson Canada's distribution network and retail footprint, patients and customers will have convenient access and more choices to achieve their health and wellness goals."
