WeRPN begins care package promotion for nurses

The Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario of Toronto has begun a promotion to coincide with Nursing Week from May 11 to 17. During the promotion, approximately 13,000 Ontario nurses will receive packages of selected products intended to express gratitude to the recipients for their work. The packages will contain products from participating companies including CeraVe, Penguin Random House Canada, Tetley Tea, Well.ca, Winners, HomeSense and Marshalls. Delivery will be provided by UPS. Other participating companies include Baird MacGregor, Johnson Insurance, Optimus SBR, Sensyst and the Speakers Bureau of Canada. The association is also encouraging consumers to send messages of support to nurses via social media.

“Nurses often care for us during life's most difficult times, and we're encouraging Ontarians to send love back to them when they need it most,” said Dianne Martin, CEO of the association. “Many nurses' current COVID-19 reality is such that they are working extremely long hours, playing an integral role alongside so many others, at the frontline of healthcare during the pandemic. I know this initiative will mean the world to our family of nurses, and we can't wait to surprise them with these packages.”
