Toronto-based public relations agencies FleishmanHillard and High Road will merge their operations in Canada. The combined agency will be called FleishmanHillard HighRoad and will have offices in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. The merger is expected to be complete by January 2018.

The merged entity will be headed by Angela Carmichael as president. She is currently senior vice-president and general manager of FleishmanHillard's Toronto office. Katherine Fletcher, managing director of High Road, will become chief operations officer of the new firm. Nathalie Bergeron will be the senior vice-president in Montreal, while Mark Reder, will be general manager in Vancouver, Gordon Taylor Lee will be general manager in Ottawa and Patrick Gladney will become chief strategy officer.

"FH and High Road have a long history of collaboration, and over the past year we partnered together on a number of projects," said Fletcher. "We know this merger brings together two great teams that will innovate and create results for clients across all industries and sectors. Further, our current and future employees will benefit from the growth opportunities presented by this new powerhouse in Canada."
