Village Monde begins Ambassador Challenge promotion

Village Monde, a tourism organization based in Quebec City, has begun a promotional initiative called the "Ambassador Challenge, My Favourite Village." The effort is being conducted in association with the Air Canada Foundation, Les Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec and CECI. The initiative encourages people to become village ambassadors in order to promote sustainable tourism. Participants can enter online at <http://www.villagemonde.com/explorationsolidaire>.
Ten ambassadors will be selected by public voting to be the representative of a village in Laos, India, Nepal, Senegal, Guatemala, Ecuador, Morocco, Mexico, Panama, Togo, Nicaragua or Thailand. Participants will then compete to attract the largest possible number of votes for their village. The winner will receive a trip for two to their village.
The effort is the last phase of a larger ongoing campaign called "Exploring a World of Sustainable Destinations."
