KFC Canada begins sesquicentennial promotion

Fast food chain KFC Canada has begun a promotion tied to Canada's 150th anniversary. For the duration of the initiative, the restaurant will change its name to K'ehFC. To launch the promotion the chain's first store, located in Saskatoon, has been rebranded with the temporary name. The promotion also includes new packaging, a website at <http://www.kehfc.ca> and a social media contest component. The initiative will run through the summer. KFC is a subsidiary of Yum Brands.

"K'ehFC has proudly embraced its Canadian roots for 62 years, from our iconic red and white style to our friendly, neighbourly presence from coast-to-coast," said Stephen Scarrow, senior marketing manager for advertising and media at KFC Canada. "We want customers to feel the same strong appreciation for Canada that we have since 1955."
