TVB TAKES ON-LINE SERVICE NATIONAL

The Television Bureau of Canada is now offering its TV database service across Canada. Called The On-line Consultant, the service allows sales, marketing and research staff to instantly access information in three libraries along with weekly data updates, enhanced e-mail and real time conferencing. Information in the database includes business categories, market and consumer statistics, media information and TV promotional strategies. The database consists of both U.S. and Canadian market data. Plans for the service for the new year include expanding the industry categories and media library, and providing limited access to ad agencies. The On-line Consultant can be accessed by TVB members via modem. The service has been in beta test since October.
