GREY INTERACTIVE ADDS NEW DIVISION

Grey Interactive of Toronto announced the addition of a new division last week. Called Lasso Communications, the unit is a database marketing company that focuses on interactive card technologies and interactive human resource applications. Lasso's services will include CD-ROMs for job training, job recruitment through the Internet, job applicant screening through interactive voice response telephone services, interactive sweepstakes and contests and electronic surveys and polling. In forming Lasso, Grey wanted a division that would be able to integrate a variety of new technologies, marketing co-ordinator Noelle Man told Adnews this week. Grey Interactive COO Tony Russel says in a release that Grey chose the name Lasso because it gives the impression of "corralling all elements of an interactive marketing program." Grey Interactive specializes in Web site creation, the Internet, intranets, CD ROMs, virtual reality and interactive kiosks. Grey Interactive is a division of Grey Advertising of Toronto.
