Peladeau returns to Quebecor

Pierre Karl Péladeau has resumed the position of president and CEO of Montreal-based Quebecor. Péladeau was president and CEO of the company from 1999 to 2013. He has spent the intervening years in Quebec politics, becoming the representative of the riding of Saint-Jérôme in the Quebec National Assembly as a member of the Parti Québécois in 2014. In 2015 he became leader of the party and Leader of the Opposition. He resigned these positions in 2016.

Pierre Dion, who has been president and CEO of Quebecor since 2014, has been appointed chairman of the board of Quebecor Media and a director of Quebecor. Brian Mulroney remains chairman of the board of Quebecor.
