New president and CEO at Rogers
Guy Laurence, president and CEO of Toronto-based Rogers Communications, has departed the company. Prior to joining the company three years ago, Laurence was director of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. Before that, he was CEO of Vodafone in the United Kingdom.
Joseph Natale has been appointed president and CEO of Rogers. He was most recently president and CEO of Telus. Prior to that, he was chief commercial officer at the telecommunications firm for 11 years. Until Natale can begin work, Rogers chairman Alan Horn will act as interim president and CEO.
"Following the transition, the board will look to Joe to take the company forward and continue the momentum we've established in the past couple of years," said Horn. "Joe is a proven executive who has deep experience delivering strong financial results in a highly competitive and complex industry. His focus on the customer experience and demonstrated expertise delivering operational success makes him well suited to lead Rogers through the challenges and opportunities ahead."
