Ikea readies Then & Now exhibition

Furniture retail chain Ikea Canada is preparing an exhibition in Toronto to coincide with the company's 40th anniversary in this country. Called "Ikea Then & Now," the exhibit will consist of several rooms displaying Ikea furniture from the 1970s to today. Visitors to the installation will also be able to enter a draw for a one-week trip for two to Stockholm, Sweden. The free exhibit will be located at the Design Exchange from Oct. 21 to 30.
"Canadians have welcomed Ikea into their homes for the past 40 years and we are delighted to have reached this anniversary together," said Dave McCabe, acting president at Ikea Canada. "The exhibit offers visitors a chance to take a trip down memory lane, remembering how our homes have evolved over the last four decades. The exhibit also offers a behind the scenes look at the Ikea brand and business, which we are confident will continue to grow in Canada for the next 40 years and beyond."
