Toronto Parking Authority begins mobile coupon pilot project

The Toronto Parking Authority has begun a pilot project that will distribute digital coupons from local businesses to consumers who use its mobile application. The project encompasses two Green P parking lots in the Liberty Village area of the city. Users of the Green P Mobile Pay app can opt-in to the service that will allow them to download special offers from participating nearby retailers when they pay for parking at one of these lots. The program is being conducted in collaboration with mobile developer MobileXCo. If successful, the authority plans to expand the service across Toronto in 2017.

"Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for retailers to connect with their customers, as well as to provide an enhanced shopping experience," said Peter Pinfold co-founder at MobilexCo. "In partnership with Green P, we're able to provide retailers with a powerful mobile solution, so they can drive sales, foster loyalty and save money."
